Round chrome tourmaline set

A rare set of round-cut chrome tourmalines. Although the colors vary slightly, this is a stunning deep-green set suitable for earrings. These chrome tourmalines originate from Tanzania and were also cut there.

A Chelsea filter can be used to detect the presence of chromium in a gemstone. A chrome tourmaline fluoresces red when viewed through a Chelsea filter; see photo.
