A beautiful color-changing diaspore from Turkey. Soft greenish-yellow in daylight, soft orange in evening light… The daylight photos were taken at 5600K, and the evening light photos at 3300K. Additionally, this diaspore exhibits pleochroism (showing more than one color depending on the viewing angle): light bluish-green – light orangey-pink – light greenish-yellow.
Diaspore is also known as Zultanite or Csarite; however, these are commercial brand names or trade names. Further information regarding its history and origin can be found on the Gemsociety.org website.
